Our client is a company that provides advanced defence and security solutions for the Australian Military. Specialising in air, land, and naval capabilities, they support national defence with cutting-edge technology. The Project Brief
The client required shelters that were able to be easily relocated via crane lift, featuring removable ballast blocks weighted onto ballast supports to prevent movement in high wind speeds. The structures needed to be fully engineered to site-specific requirements and utilise fabric cladding to allow natural lighting. The shelters were also required to provide sufficient space to support manufacturing operations while maintaining productivity and ensuring the safety of personnel. Essential features included a large opening for machinery and vehicle access such as industrial lifts, and PA doors for personnel access.
Our Shelter Solution
The Allshelter team spent the time to fully understand the requirements for the project and were able to propose and develop a new, innovative shelter solution, ideal for a client requiring the shelter to be lifted via crane. Allshelter designed and engineered the new craneable shelter with the following specifications:
- 6× Craneable Shelters measuring 15m wide × 13m long × 5m eave height
- 2× Fabric curtains on the large endwall doorways for weatherproofing
- PA doors with clear viewing panels for access and security
- Engineered to site-specific standards for South Australia
- Serge Ferrari 702 S2 Fabric with 15-year Warranty
- An Allshelter supervisor for smooth construction and to onboard the client regarding rigging and craning procedures.
