James Crane is an Australian provider of custom overhead lifting equipment and comprehensive lifting solutions. The company manages the entire lifecycle of its products, offering the sale, design, installation, maintenance, and upgrade of material handling systems. Their primary focus is on custom-built lifting equipment, including Jib Cranes, Gantry/Overhead Cranes, and Hoists. James Crane is known for its commitment to delivering cost-effective and reliable solutions for various industries, including manufacturing, logistics, mining, and agriculture.
The Project Brief
James Crane required an Allshelter fabric shelter solution engineered to integrate with and complement their proprietary mobile crane system perfectly. This solution was necessary to provide a protected, weatherproof operational environment for the mobile crane, which could also potentially be deployed across varied and sometimes remote operational locations. They required an additional design for a customised banner on top of the shelter that would show James Crane’s logo. The integration of the mobile overhead crane system will require meticulous engineering to ensure both structural stability and absolute ease of DIY installation.
Our Shelter Solution
Allshelter has designed and engineered an ideal shelter solution for James Crane’s Mobile Overhead Crane System (MOCS), from our shipping container-mounted shelter range:
- Double HC Shipping Container Mounted Dome Shelter measuring 15.9m wide × 12.19m long × 9.7m high (height incl. HC shipping containers)
- Designed and engineered for Wind Region A
- Custom Banner with James Crane’s logo measuring 1.5m width × 6m length
- Custom attachments for easy MOCS integration
Why Allshelter?
James Crane selected Allshelter for their top-notch engineering and design, which was essential for creating a structurally sound, yet mobile, protective cover for their specialised lifting equipment. The decisive factor was Allshelter’s capability for deep customisation. This allowed them to precisely tailor the shelter to the unique operational mechanics of the Mobile Overhead Crane System (MOCS) and integrate the required customised branding banner.
Beyond the successful project delivery, this collaboration established a partnership between James Crane and Allshelter, aimed at jointly developing future rapid-deployment shelter systems solution for various operations, including with the mining and construction industries.
