The Project<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

With a need to keep pre-coated aggregate stockpiles dry to optimise the use of aggregate for re-sealing roads,  Boral was seeking storage options at its Wellcamp Quarry in Toowoomba, Queensland. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

How We Went About It <\/h2>\n\n\n\n

Allshelter worked closely with Boral to design a storage solution within the space and clearance specifications of the site.  The solution needed to provide adequate coverage of the stockpiles as well as safe and easy access and mobility for the loaders.  <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Solution <\/h2>\n\n\n\n

To suit Boral\u2019s exact requirements, Allshelter designed, engineered, manufactured and delivered six container shelters. The shelters were installed on shipping containers using piers for foundations, and measured: 10m wide x 12m long x 4.4m high. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Allshelter\u2019s CATA1012AIM shelters were used;  they are wind rated for individual region needs as designed and calculated by Australian engineers. Made of highly resistant and strong polyethylene fabric, the CATA1012AIM shelters won\u2019t corrode or rust, and they are well ventilated and environmentally adaptive, which was well-aligned with Boral\u2019s brief. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Outcome<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

\u00a0Boral was extremely satisfied with the storage solution provided by Allshelter, and in fact, they are in the process of purchasing two more container domes<\/a>. They liked the fact that Allshelter\u2019s steel frames are non-corrosive and are easy to dismantle and reassemble, and that the fabric used has ultra violet ray protection allowing large amounts of safe and natural light to enter – even on overcast days. \u00a0Boral was also impressed by Allshelter\u2019s 10 year frame and fabric warranty.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The expert advice and collaborative approach provided by Allshelter meant that Boral could choose the best shelters to meet their requirements.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
