Known for its high-quality <a href=\"https:\/\/www.allshelter.com.au\/industry-solutions\/mining-shelters\/\">mining<\/a> practices and strong safety culture, Stanmore Resources sought a solution that met stringent OH&amp;S requirements while facilitating efficient and safe tyre-changing operations.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><br><\/span><\/p>\n<h2><span style=\"color: #004b87;\"><b>The Project Brief<\/b><\/span><\/h2>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Stanmore\u2019s Isaac Plains Complex had an existing jacking-type slab in use, but to meet OH&amp;S requirements, they needed a suitable and safe shelter. The shelter proposed to Stanmore was a:<\/span><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><a href=\"https:\/\/www.allshelter.com.au\/product\/freespan-shelters\/\">FreeSpan\u2122\ufe0f Gable Shelter<\/a> measuring 24m wide x 23m long x 9.5m high<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Side Openings measuring 13.5m wide for tyre machine movement<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Designed and engineered to site-specific requirements, the project included designing 4x concrete foundations and 1.5m high plinths on which the shelter is mounted.<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Engineered to Wind Region A<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h2><span style=\"color: #004b87;\"><b>Navigating the Challenges<\/b><\/span><\/h2>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Throughout the process, a few challenges were faced. However, the teams at Allshelter and Stanmore banded together to ensure the process was as smooth as possible. Some of the challenges faced and site requirements were:<\/span><\/p>\n<p><b>Tight Timelines:<\/b><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Stanmore Resources wanted the project completed within 6-8 weeks, including site investigations, foundations, plinths, and commissioning. Allshelter met this challenge by completing the project on time and within budget, with minimal site disruptions.<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Due to the deadline, an immediate response was required.
